What type of GPU would some of the pros at building pc's recommend?

 

Here are the specs of my pc:

 

APU: 
AMD A8 7650K Processor 
OVERCLOCKED to 4.20GHz 

RAM: 
8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM 

Motherboard: 
MSI A68HM Grenade 

Power Supply: 
500b Power Supply With Large 120mm Fan (It DOESN'T have a 8 pin connector I miss looked it so sorry)

I love my GTX 970s tbh the low power usage and thermals are great.

Don't get a 750Ti, that thing is 2 years old now get the 960 or 950 for not much more.

CPU: Ryzen 3800X  MOBO: Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero (Wi-Fi)  RAM: Corsair LPX 3200MHz 35GB (2x16) GPU: EVGA GTX 1080Ti SC2 PSU: EVGA  850BQ  COOLING: Noctua NH-D15  CASE: Corsair Vengeance C70 Arctic White

His PSU is likely an OEM and doesn't have 6 or 8-pin connectors. Keep that in mind.

His PSU is likely an OEM and doesn't have 6 or 8-pin connectors. Keep that in mind.

If its a 500W it probably has enough connectors.

If its a 500W it probably has enough connectors.

500W OEMs are usually 300W units which can only output 250W before overheating.

It has a 8 pin connector just checked

950 may work but anything above that would require adapters and those are a deathwish with cheaper PSUs.

Also I am no pro at PC Building, but I have some knowledge because I put extensive amounts of research into building my PC and learned a bunch of things...

None of those would work as his PSU cannot power them >.<

Before you scream "MAXWELL EFFICIENT!" let me just say his PSU has only 1 8-pin and that's not enough for 99% of 960s and 100% of 970/980s. Using adapters with cheap PSUs is a VERY bad idea

 

380 Sapphire or MSI

same reason as above why it won't work.
