I was wondering.

Talking a few years forward, will the standart resolution base of 1080p still be there or will people start to move 1440p as the main resolution?

This is only a discussion of thoughts given to the future :-)

I think 1440 won`t even be the standard, I think 4K at least, most probably a lot more

I agree with this.

And I think that 21:9 is going to be a healthy growing market for a long time to come.

So, what you say is that Ultrawide and 4k monitors are coming to the standart?

I think 1440p will become the standard, as it's not that much harder to run than 1080p. 4k still requires a beefy gpu to consider playing at 4k in every game.

I agree with this, I think we will see a rather long wait until 4k is the standard, that is unless we see a major jump in GPU power in the next few years. Resolutions are just advancing too fast for the hardware needed to power them imao

the thing is technology is evolving quickly, so it`ll be cheaper and more common to use integrated GPU orjust GPU I think for the `common consumer`. Especially with HBM and stuff and therefor they`ll be able to make GPU really strong for a decent price.

Atleast thaat`s what I think

to game or not to game, that`s the question

I agree, also because of the fact that there are still people buying laptops that have 720p screens. The majority of people who buy computers don't know a damn thing about them. Geeks like us are the minority.
