hi i got a cheap kit with loud and i mean LOUD pumps so should i upgrade to this http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/EK-Water-Blocks-EK-D5-XRES-140-Revo-PWM-incl-Pump_55425.html id prefer the bay res as ive allready got one and i cant think of anywhere to put the ek pump and res in my r4

the D5 is a lot quieter and cooler in operation. the DDC usually needs a heatsink

to dissipate heat or damage occurs. the nature of the DDC is not as quiet as the D5.

that kit looks like a winner.

D5 is better. The DDC is more for compact builds, and is louder too.

The D5 is more powerful and uses more power. It has about the same head pressure as the DDC, but 5x more flow.

D5 is better and barely any louder. You're going to have a had time mounting it but it'll be worth it. If everything else fails, screw it onto a block of wood and velcro that to the back side panel. Around where the upper drive cage would be. You'll want it sturdy but dampened to avoid noise and wear from vibration.

My personal go-to place to mount a tube res in R4 was the vertical I/O slot next to the GPU. If you can source mounting clips like the ones that come with this reservoir (see, theres one mounting screw hole in the middle of it! ) you can often just force the screw thought the tiny holes in the panel. Feels ghetto but looks and works fine. But the mounting holes in that res aren't in the middle, they're to the sides so you'd have to get those clips.

That spot where you can see the back panel where there's no drive cage. Not the CPU cutout but the other to the front.

Ah thanks could I in theory Velcro the res to the side Pannel so if I wanted to replace my case
