I just upgraded my psu and gpu, and I've been having a lot issues and problems that keep coming up. Hopefully this is the last one. So earlier today, I tried running a game to test out the gpu and after about a few minutes, the screen went blank, but the pc stayed on. I tried restarting but same issue still occurred, the display didn't show but the pc was on. Right now I have my older 370 in it, so I can tell that the monitor is working fine, and so is cable. I uninstalled my 370 drivers and got the 380x ones. And before I put in the 370, I did check by reseating the 380x and changing cable. I'm really hoping the 380x isn't dead, because it's new and I'm a bit lazy to refund/exchange it. If anyone can help, that'd be great. Thanks!
My build is this, if that helps

i3-4170

asus H81I

hyperx fury black 8gb

asus 380x/gigabyte 370(older one)

EVGA SuperNOVA GS 550W

Genuinely the only thing you can do is try reinstalling drivers, if your 370 is working fine I'm afraid you'll have to get a refund/RMA :(

Will try reinstalling drivers.. Just noticed that on the asus website that it says "To solve driver abnormal installing in Win 7, we need to pick up the two hot fixes from MS." So I just downloaded the two hot fixes and will try putting in the 380x and see if that helps..

Yeah, it's true in general, cause even though for example Gigabyte is fine for Nvidia, there are better alternatives for the same price which makes it not worth getting.
