Yup, I can do that from my laptop. Do I then just load those drivers onto a USB flash drive?

Yip, just copy the downloaded file to the flash drive then copy and run the exe(somewhere in the file) on the computer you need to install the driver on.

Hi all,

 

I just built a new computer without an optical drive. I installed Windows 10 with a USB key. My motherboard does not have WIFI so I tried to get on the internet via ethernet and there is no connection. I went into Device Manager and the following showed up as not having drivers installed:

 

-Ethernet Controller

-Ethernet Controller

-PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller

-PCI Memory Controller

-PCI Simple Communications Controller

-SM Bus Controller

 

I have an external Apple Superdrive so I plugged that in via USB and the computer recognizes it but it won't actually accept my motherboard CD (Gigabyte). Any ideas what I should do?

Do you have another computer that you can download drivers from? If so go to your mobos manufacturers page and download the Ethernet drivers.
