I have a problem with an older computer.

The monitor doesn't even get a video signal. I know the GPU is working. I will test cpu and ram later today. All the fans spin and the mobo has a light that turns on when it gets power.

I think the mobo is dead but i am not sure.

Here are some specs:

CPU: intel e6400

GPU: Nvidia gtx 550TI

Ram: 4GB DDR2 something

Mobo: Something intel, sorry i didn't find anything on the board.

Psu: Some shitty 420w. Should be good enough.

HDDs: one 80GB SATA and one 120GB IDE

Thanks in advance!

I managed to get no display output and no power to peripherals when my cpu was installed incorrectly (the retention arm didn't hold it in place, correct orientation) whilst everything else seemed perfectly functional, could be that.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools - Douglas Adams
