your old PC was about 25% faster in games AND heavy CPU workloads :D

EDIT: And the 8350 is 30% faster at rendering/editing/streaming/encoding

If this is for gaming, its a good upgrade.

GPU is a SIGNIFICANT downgrade. He will get about 40% lower performance in games.
