Black screen

So my cousin recently got his pc up and running from over a year ago. everything seemed to be fine, 

then all of a sudden there was a black screen, after resetting computer and even trying to load up in safe mode.
still just goes to black screen. 
even tried to run a windows diagnostics when starting up. it said windows couldn't figure anything out. 

anyone got any ideas???
