I was planning on buying Dayz, but I wasn't totally sure since I thought it wouldn't run well at all on my PC. Could someone give me advice or tell me from personal experience how my parts would run in Dayz approximately FPS wise?

I have a:

  • GTX 750ti Superclocked with ACX
  • FX 6300 at 3.5 Ghz
  • 8 GB Gskill ram

If possible, I would like to know the fps I could get on low, medium, and high. It would give me an understanding.

Thank You

no not even close... i had a 750ti and a better cpu and dayz barely ran at all... its horribly optimized. You wont be able to play it smoothly enough to enjoy the game.

The recommended requirements is an Athlon and a gt 440 and 2gb of ram

lol The game isn't optimized  yet . They're adding a new renderer hopefully sometime soon which should make it more optimized.  I have 2500k and 7970 and dip below 30 fps all the time on fairly low settings.

Nobody can run DayZ at respectable framerates, all the time, people with i7s and 980Ti's have dips to like 9 FPS periodically.

i run it Very high , normal object,High AA, no ATOC, at about 30 fps in Novodmitrovsk

everywhere in the wilderness i get about 80++ fps

i rarely get stutters, its worse in Arma 3 (depens what you play, A3 Wasteland is worse than DayZ)

You should put textures and Anistropic filtering on Very high and Object on normal (you can still see people far away -> sniping)

and keep shadows off, or just on low

also clouds

Avoid Elektro (its kindof the laggiest town)

also Novo and Severograd might have less people , but they are laggier(bigger)
