Problem with PC

So I built my new pc a while ago. Wasnt able to test it really until now since i needed a new monitor to replace my old one that didnt work well. Anyway i finally plug in my new monitor and i had an epic failure. The computer gave one long beep code then it booted up to bios anyway. I hit F12 to get to the screen where you choose the drive to boot from and it got to that screen then froze. It completely stops taking any input from my keyboard at that screen. Ive rebooted and the same thing happens. Please help.

CPU AMD FX-6300

Motherboard Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P

RAM 8 gigs

GPU XFX R7950

Also, new development. I plugged in a new keyboard and it gave one short beepcode then booted straight to desktop fine... Still kinda concerned.

I had a similar problem before to where the computer would beep (dunno the exact beep it gave, think it was multiple tho so this might not help). What I had to do was plug in a PS/2 keyboard and fix boot settings and turn off my overclock (although the overclock was not the issue, I just turned it off for safety measures). Hope this helps to at least some degree.

It might help, but to be honest they really need to re-do the <br> tags on that page...

It says nothing about just one long beep unforunately...
