Help with startinf

Hi,

me and my friends are planing to join game programming competition. I programmed two apps in MI2, and my 2 friends ahh.................. nothing. We don´t know which programming language to choose. We thinked about doing a 2D game, where you come to game center and you can play on different gaming boxes. You know, you put there a penny and play, I don´t know, pac-man. We will have some basic games to choose from, but we don´t know, as I say, which program to use. Please say which is best for us = no experience.
