A friend built my PC for me today as I'm pretty clueless, but he put the Heatsink part of the H100iGTX in upside down - not the radiator, but the part with the glowing logo. He said that it was fine, and wasn't worth dismantling, and that the chords fit better that way anyway.

I'll probably end up paying to get it flipped eventually, it'll annoy me, but I just wondered if anyone could confirm; Will it function correctly this way until I fix it? Or should I get it flipped ASAP?

I have a friend who mounted it sideways to make it the same way as his corsair ram.

It will be fine but you can always swap it if it bothers you. if you're not comfortable doing it yourself just leave it.
