Graphics Card Upgrade

Go to solution Solved by dragoon20005,

Any idea how much i could sell it for? How would I go about selling it? Completely new to that sort of thing.

Is a 380 worth the upgrade though? Correct me if i am wrong, because I probably am, but I was led to believe that the 380 was meh in gta 5

put it up on Craigslist, only trade with cash

the GTX760 i saw on ebay is 199 dollars

see if you can mark it around 170 to 180 dollars give or take

380 is slightly faster than the GTX960

use the GTX960 and compare it with your 760

chances are the GTX960 may only be faster by 10-20fps

the 390 will be the best upgrade

My current Build:

i5 4570 3.2ghz

8GB DDR3 Ram @ 1600mhz

H87 Gigabyte Mobo

2TB Seagate HDD

GTX 760 2GB Asus Graphics Card

Coolermaster 690 ii Advanced Mid tower

XFX 650w PSU 80+ bronze

I play games at 1080p on an Asus 60hz panel and a buddy of mine got me the PC version of GTA 5, however, I am unable to play without frequent frame dips when racing or in intensive events with all the settings on  Normal to High.

What would be a good graphics card upgrade? I live in Ontario, Canada so everything is pretty freaking expensive even with previous holiday sales. Could I somehow sell my current graphics card to help save up some cash? I was considering buying an older generation card off of Kijiji or something to save some money. Thoughts on this? My current budget would be under $300 Canadian

sell your 760 and see if you can squeeze a R9 390

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

I think a 380 is in your budget, if you can reach to a 380x even better

I'm not sure what 300 CAD can buy you, but the only cards that will let you see a significant improvement over your 760 are the 970 and 390. The 380, 380x and 960 are not a big enough set up from your 760.
