Disk drive not recognized

It did not come with software, so that may be the issue. I went into the BIOS and it does recognize it there, but when I go into my PC, the drive does not show up (even when I try to play a DVD). It shows up in Device Manager as well. I tried uninstalling and installing the drivers and that did not work.
