hey i watercooled both my 970s its really not worth it unless you're running sli

If your card has the 1.3 PCB version, then yes this block will fit.

 

You can check the PCB version without removing the shroud.  It will be stamped on the PCB just over the PCIe connector.

Disagree, cooling these cards better with water often means better overclocking.

meh. yes but i wouldnt do it again if i had a choice. i did it because of heat and noise issues. i would rather buy a 980 instead of a 970 and water block.

and in this case unless heat is a real issue or noise is just awful i wouldn't suggest it.

True, I need to put my second block on my 970 FTW. 

My MSI speaks for itself hitting under 45c in benching and gaming.
