Restore the game the same way you backed it up through steam

Steam > Backup and Restore > Restore a Previous backup

I created a backup of a game off of steam before I was going to mod it. I didn't get the mod to work so I now want to go back to the non-modded version of the game. I go to the backups folder and go to the game but there are just 100 folders named Disk_1-100. I have no idea what I am supposed to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
