Jump to content

Just use the Media Creation Tool to install create a bootable media of the USB drive. That's it.

would the prebuilt hp auto boot off of the usb drive or is it in the bios or something

 

BIOS. Configure boot order.

Unfortunately, this MAY not be possible as HP uses proprietary boards. I'm not absolutely sure but HP boards might not have a BIOS accessible to the average consumer. It makes sense. Then they can charge the consumer more by including an overpriced SSD in the original computer.
