Shall i upgrade?

CPU; athalon 640 x4 ii 3ghz GPU: 650 2gb MOBO: GA-880ga-ud3 RAM: 8gb ( don't know label )

I'm a casual gamer and i'm getting a little bit spike lags on the new games but they're playable but i'm going to upgrade in the summer to a new pc, but meanwhile i wait is it worth to upgrade the CPU atm? just to get some more fps in the games i play.

What games do you play?

 

Your CPU and GPU are fairly balanced so if you wanted to upgrade one to get any real benefit you'd need to upgrade the other.

 

I'd hold on to the summer if you plan to overhaul.
