Christmas Build (Final Suggestions?)

Tesel

Hello,

I'm coming up with parts for a computer, which is going to be built with money from Christmas and allowance.

Here's what I had before:

Motherboard: MSI Z170A Tomahawk AC ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($149.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Crucial MX200 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive  ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $554.95
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

I do need suggestions for an inexpensive ATX case.
I'm strongly considering the Corsair 200R: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-case-200r
As well as the NZXT Source 210: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/nzxt-case-s210002
And the windowed version of the Source 210: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/nzxt-case-cas21w2b1
But I'll take any suggestions, if there's another case besides those two.

I decided on the Corsair 200R, assuming I get the build.

Here's what I have now:

Motherboard: MSI Z170A Tomahawk AC ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($149.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Crucial MX200 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive  ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case  ($44.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $624.93
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

The memory and CPU are part of a combo deal at Newegg, which makes the total $25.00 less than PCPartPicker thinks.

This list doesn't need to include a GPU, as I am likely getting a GTX 660 for free, or otherwise some other card. At some point, I'll upgrade to the next generation of the R9 380 or 390, which will hopefully come out in time for my birthday!

Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas!

I would get a I5 4690k because it has better clock speed, is overclockable and has better performance for the price.

Also I would get the corsair 200R.

Also are you going to install a 1TB or 2TB HDD for big applications? And yes I would get a R9 380 as soon as possible. especially if you are running windows 10.

PC Specs:

Core I5 4690K CPU
Gigabyte GTX 960 windforce 4GB GDDR5 GPU
Corsair 100R case
Seasonic 620W S12-II PSU
Kingston SSDNow 120GB SSD
Toshiba 1TB HDD
Asrock H97 Pro4 motherboard
8GB panram DDR3 1600 RAM
Windows 10 home 64 bit

I'm mostly going with Skylake for DDR4, so that I can use some parts when I upgrade in the future. I might be running windows 10, might be running windows 7, but point taken.

No, I don't need a HDD yet, I don't use that much speed. I may add in a larger SATA SSD but I don't use that much storage.

do you want a side panel window

I'm not all that concerned, but it would be nice.

I'm looking into this windowed Source 210 on sale: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/nzxt-case-cas21w2b1

Everyone, thanks for the help and please let me know about this latest case.

200R

Right now, it looks like I am going to get the 200R. I see some issues with the Source 210 windowed, which I would get over the normal Source 210, in that it isn't wide enough for the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo, which I will probably get as my CPU Cooler. So with all that, here is the updated list, with the $25.00 combo edited into the price.

Motherboard: MSI Z170A Tomahawk AC ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($149.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Crucial MX200 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive  ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case  ($44.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $624.93

I think I am going to pull the trigger on the above build, but please let me know anything else that I should consider.

I will be getting an HP Pavilion 21.5" monitor here: http://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-21-5-Inch-HDMI-Monitor/dp/B015WCV70W

So please, please let me know what you think about the parts:

Motherboard: MSI Z170A Tomahawk AC ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($149.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Sandisk Ultra II 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($79.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case  ($44.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $624.93
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
