Does windows 8 minecraft work with xbox 360 controller?

Title says it all, I heard that an xbox 360 controller will work with most pc games or a game that supports pc and xbox 360 consoles....So I supposed that minecraft would work....

 

To add, my xbox 360 controller works fine with my pc+ laptop

If it doesn't in vanilla there is probably a mod for it.
