So, recently I've been having problems with my internet, I cannot say when this first started happening, but it didn't always happen. Around a month back, I noticed my ping in games like Counter-Strike jumping from 32 (Constantly) to 500. I did some tests recently that included pinging my router, and pinging google. My ping to my router is fine (As seen in the picture), but my ping to google is constantly spiking. This happens on wired, and wireless connections, I've built a whole new PC, I've re wired my network setup (Having my Router connect to a network switch, and then send all the other connections out through there) to eliminate any hops between the network, and at last I'm still having the problem. My next step is to change ISPs or at least call them to send someone. If anyone has any idea why this is happening or what is causing it, please let me know.

Some Info:

ISP: Rogers (Canadian Company fairly big)

Plan:

Upload: 350 MBPS

Download: 10 MBPS

If you need any other info please feel free to ask for it, and thanks for taking a look.

The ping to my router is fine.

This is the ping to google.ca. Right now it isn't terrible, as it usually has spikes to 3500 MS, where as before and some times I get constantly 30 ish ping to google.

Someone is using your internet/you're internet bandwidth is being throttled...(experience from family and my 8/0.7 internet....)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

As much as I would like to think this is the issue, before this started happening constantly, people would all be using the internet streaming movies / netflix, and it would be fine, and at some times I do see people using the internet and it is having constantly 30 ping. Do you think it could be my ISP throttling us even though we have unlimited bandwidth

"unlimited bandwidth" does not mean that they will not throttle. It just means that you can use as much data as you want but usually they have a limit set from themselves and will start to throttle once you hit that limit :P

I understand what you're saying now, but the problem is there's never a time of the month where you know that limit resets and I see a day or two of good internet, It will be good certain hours, and it wont other hours, some times it will be good when a lot of people are on it, some times it's bad when no one is on it except me (That includes me closing other things that are using it like, laptops, other PC's), but anyway I'm guessing what you're saying is switch companies :P?

Not necessarily, like the situation I currently have is fiber isn't available where I currently live till Q1 of 2016 (just 1-3 more months till I can finally play properly with my team again...) therefore with 3 people streaming 720p/1080p videos at the same time, I get horrendous ping. But the problem you're having is throttling as you're saying it's slowing down at certain times. Changing ISP could help but at the same time it won't as for example, in Britain, there are only two lines, BT lines and Virgin lines. Virgin lines are only for their own customers. But BT rent their lines out to sky, Talktalk, o2, EE etc. therefore, you will still be throttled if you used another ISP but still using the same lines..
