So for christmas i got 2 new monitors. Somebody in the shop said i should be able to connect 2 monitors to my pc if my graphics card supports it which it does.

On the back of the pc theres a dvi and hdmi.

I connected the first to the dvi.

The guy in the shop said i could plug one monitor into the back of the pc and then link the second to the first and the third to the second like the picture below.

I cant figure out how that works and i cant find anything online.

Do i need special cables or anything or does it even work like that post-290199-0-91105900-1451041722.png

What is your graphics card?

What are the video outputs on said GPU?

What do you have your monitors plugged into?

DVI and hdmi

I have one plugged into the dvi(theres no hdmi on the monitor)

HDMI and DVI are basically the same, but with different connectors. A cable like this one will be fine if you only have 2 HDMI/DVI displays. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221784116618/

i have never heard of dvi or hdmi daisy chaining. display port maybe, not not the previous two.

also, i dont understand why you dont just connect both monitors to your video card?

what are your specs?

Theres not enough ports on the back of the pc to connect them both to the video card
