PCIe and NVME for daily tasks - necessary?

azorahai

A very first world topic, buy SSD speeds are getting ridiculous, as are there prices. For daily tasks like 4k gaming, net browsing, audio recording, does one really need a PCI-e let alone NVME SSD if they are not transferring large files?

What do you think is the theoretical read / write sweet spot for daily performance?

No, would actually be necessary if you'd want to do heavyer stuff like 4k recording. Probably games will load faster, but I don't really think it's actually worth it
