i got my self into a bit of a budget from spending on junk now im left with 1000usd to build a new rig i already bought a msi 980ti gpu but do not know what to pick for the other component i game on it and hope to record and edit video for fun but i do not expect much just a preference

That gpu and that budget was a really bad idea to be honest.

You could had gone with gtx 960 or 970 which is plenty for most new games.
