I would like to ask the forum for help since i am looking to buy a gaming pc. My main concern is whether i should go for the used faster xeon or the latest technology from 6th generation i5. I am looking to make a pc until 1000$. Below is an example of a xeon processor i found on ebay.

These low clocked xeons will give you worse performance in gaming than the latest i5. Unless you use applications that can use 8 cores and more (video editing, 3d modeling...), go for the i5.

Xeons are not for gaming, get an i5 if you're only going to be gaming on the machine and don't waste the money in a Xeon
