Alright so i just finished my new which has the asus 980ti and i need a PC monitor to go with it

My budget is £500 (willing to go £600 at a push) and i want a monitor for competitive FPS gaming

I'm considering this http://www.scan.co.uk/products/24-aoc-g2460pg-144-hz-g-sync-gaming-display-displayport-1920x1080-350cdm2-80m1-1ms-usb-hub

i don't know if i really need G-synk and i would like to eventually get 2 monitors, i'm just wondering if g-synk is pointless with a 980ti at 1080p

980 ti is a pretty powerful card so if you wanted to go 1080p i would go with something like this:

I really think tho with all that power in your card u culd go up to 1440p and get something like this:

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/samsung-monitor-s34e790c

and you get more quality out of it...

What is your preffered resolution and screen size and what do you do with your pc?

I game a lot and stream from time to time but I really like 120-144hz gaming and hitting over 60fps constant so really 1440p is out because most games are only getting 40-50fps from what i have seen

Maybe this would be good. Looks pretty cool too :-)

Do you have a big desk? What screen size do you prefer?

I have looked at this before and considered it but i don't know if i want to go to 27" because i have a good sized desk but 2 27" monitors take a lot of space (it would look odd getting one smaller one) its good considering its only £300 though

But 1440p is perfect for that card. :(

Get a mointor like XB270HU then get an ancient crt monitor.
