Windows 7 Install Doesn't Detect Drivers

Hey guys, I recently built a new pc. I installed windows 7, but went back to the bios to set my drives, including boot drive w/ windows to RAID. The bios said it failed, so I just thought I'd simply re install windows. Turns out on this new install I need drivers before I actually install windows. I replaced the windows cd with my Asus VIII Hero's driver cd. I also downloaded the drivers off a laptop, put it on an external hard drive, and plugged it in with a usb. Neither of those would show up on the driver selection. I clicked through browse and the only thing that came up was the boot drive, which had nothing but windows files in it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
