Audio just stopped?

Turned on my pc today awaiting the Star Citizen Hangar Module release and I have no sound.... the only things I have updated lately are new video card driver including Nvidia hd audio, and Razer Coms just got an update a few days ago. so I deleted both Coms and the Nvidia hd audio driver did a restart and still no sound. so then I deleted and reinstalled my Realtek HD audio driver.... and still nothing, even when I go into Windows sound settings It says no audio devices are installed what gives? anyone have any insight? could my onboard audio be dead?

 

Intel 2500K @ 5GHz,Corsair H100i, MSI Z68 GD65, GTX 970 STRIX, 16GB G Skill Sniper, Seasonic X750, 250 GB Samsung 840pro SSDs in Raid 0, Corsair 650D.

restore done went back a few days to when it was definitely working and still nothing.... any suggestions on a sound card??

Any Asus Xonar card you can afford. Choose your budget and get that corresponding Xonar, you won't be disappointed.

FX 8150 @ 4.0 GHz, MSI Radeon 7850 OC Edition, 2 x 4 gigs of GSkill Sniper ddr3 at 2133 MHz, two 120 gig Kingston HyperX 3K ssds, Crosshair V Formula, Antec High Current Gamer 620 watt psu, all wrapped up inside a Cooler Master CM Storm Stryker.
