I recently built a 'stealth pc' inside an original Xbox case, I am fully aware that there are many neater mods with the same theme out there, however I still think my build is pretty good for a low end machine, the full parts list is included in the linked video.

I really just wanted a discussion about the merits of the 750 Ti, a powerful card that can make any small form factor PC into a semi-decent gaming rig. Is there anything that can compare to this amount of GPU power in such a low power format?

It was the only card that would work in my build and give me decent frames on modern titles. Any criticism of this build is welcome, I am not necessarily talking about style as I didn't have access to great tools etc, but could I have used better / different parts to get good performance at an affordable price and within the size confines of an Original Xbox?

Here is the vid showing it off:

P.S I loved the Linus build in the fallout 4 bomb, and would love to see them do a build inside a games console, just one a bit better than mine!

~snip~

This is pretty freaking cool, as for some stuff I'd work on if I were you *that is if you are still working with this* is to get that power switch working through the middle and possibly some usb extenders inside where the controller ports are *allowing actually controllers or peripherals to be plugged in*

Overall this build looks great, of course I can't really recommend parts I would have done differently because of prices in the UK and what not and I'm too lazy :P

But what is it good for? I mean the Airflow must be terrible.

In the video he shows him playing Fallout 4 medium settings at 1080p just fine. He says temps don't go above 80 if I recall correctly.

Yeah I am interested in doing the wiring for the on / off button, it is something I am definitely going to have a go at, I hadn't really thought about USB extenders into the control ports, that will be something to look into, although they would have to be 2.0 as the board doesn't have a 3.0 extender socket on it. Can you recommend any good USB extenders?

I've never used any myself but I'm sure all the Amazonbasics ones work just fine http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Dcomputers&field-keywords=usb+extender unless you were looking for something else because of course there has to be a usb plug in the first place which you could possibly use this http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-Motherboard-4-Pin-Header-USBMBADAPT/dp/B000IV6S9S/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1450903383&sr=1-1&keywords=usb+4+pin

and if you have the room put a usb to 4 usb thing and then run the extenders into the ports

Edit: of course using whatever equivalents they have where you're from

And that isn´t terrible? With a decent Case it could go down easy 10° because of Airflow alone.

But im not impartial here. The look of the XBox alone give me chills. ;)

The airflow isn't great, but temps don't go too high and it doesn't throttle, I think that leaving off the I.O shield, and thus opening the PC up to dust allows for decent(ish) airflow to the CPU. I would like a better fan for the GPU though as the current one is a bit too loud for my liking, however I can't find any that might do a better job than the one supplied by the manufacturer.

Well yeah of course, I personally like mods like this and it kind of inspires me *though I probably won't do anything*. The cases would probably be bigger too.

This might be a more efficient options instead of the Single USB header I linked that requires a hub.
