I am needing some help to pick out a laptop that I can bring off with me to college for some gaming and writing up papers. Which one of these laptops are better? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015PYYDMQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER OR http://www.amazon.com/dp/B017NGH4DY/ref=psdc_565108_t3_B015PYYDMQ . I'm more on the side of the Dell one, but that i7 may last long. What do you guys think? Also, witch is more "future proof" and I mean it in the way of which will be the best through college (4 years). Also, I will be buying on of these in June, but I'm planning ahead. Final thing is that my main rig will still be in use. This will not go to replace it for gaming. Thank you in advance :)

The Dell is FAR superior. Avoid 15.6' RoG laptops

How does it perform in gaming (lite) and everyday use?

As you would expect a mobile quad-core i5 and 960m to perform. Pretty well for mid-midhigh tier gaming. Battery is really good from what I can tell. It hit all of the marks on my checklist.
