Hey guys

okay my friends laptop can´t get into windows. when he turns it on it boots up shows the asus logo and then the screen is just black with the mouse showing and it just stays like that. 

once it boot into windows fail finder or what is called but after we tried the recovery option it just stayed on 1 % and then after 10-15 minuts said recovery failed do anyone know what to do? i think it is someting with the hardrive or motherboard. as it posts but can´t get into windows.

 

help would be nice

If it was to do with the motherboard it wouldn't post, there is potential for it to be a hard drive, do you have a pc you can test the hdd in?

Could be a failing Hard Drive as SherifsDog22 said. It could also just be a corrupted Windows install. If you have installation media for your version of Windows, boot from that. When you arrive to the screen where you have the option to select ​Install Now​, there should be another option to Repair your Computer.
