Gpu bios update fail

Go to solution Solved by Altecice,

How would I flash the card if it's not in a slot? I did make a backup, yes. :)

Take it out only to change the BIOS setting to IGPU, restart it with the card back in the top slot :)

I have the sapphire r9 270x 4gb. I wanted to update its bios because I just like keeping things up to date. I followed (http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/amd-ati-flashing-guide.212849/)"this guide", and I got to the point where DOS told me to reboot to make the change happen. When I rebooted, well... I didn't reboot. I did ctrl alt del in DOS, and the pc restarted, but didn't post. I have no video now and not even keyboard input. Msi motherboard error code says 62. I used (http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/index.php?architecture=AMD&manufacturer=Sapphire&model=R9+270X&interface=&memType=&memSize=4096)"the newest of the two bios here", and I need to get my card back. Please help!!

Take your card out and use the IGPU (if you have one) for display and flash the bios back on the card. Or use another GPU you have in the first PCI slot and the bricked card in the second.

-- assuming you made a backup of your original VBIOS.

Just saying (and rather off topic) but flashing the BIOS of anything is unnecessary unless (in the case of a motherboard) you want to add support for an unrecognised CPU or (in the the case of GPUs) want to overclock the living shit out of it.
