Motherboard help!

So I'm finally getting rid of my old Fx-8350 and moving over to Intel, I'm looking at getting the 4790k and I just need a little help choosing the motherboard for it. I've heard that with the 4790k that the motherboard doesn't really effect how much of an overclock you can get although im not too sure. Also i dont really want to be spending loads on a motherboard just for it to look a little better.

Anything by Asus, Gigabyte or MSI in the higher tier will serve you well.

Go for what you like the look of.

Asus Z97 Ranger which I have is pretty decent, looks quite good aswell, cheaper of the RoG boards, although I wish I had got the MSI SLI Krait to match my build

Well i know that i will eventually SLI, i want to be able to overclock my CPU as far as possible with NH-D15 without the motherboard needing to pull a silly amount of power to do so whilst keeping stable. Also the board has to also be a reliable one, i dont want things dying on it within months of purchase. Decent onboard audio would also be very nice. And thats about it if im honest.

Apparently the Ranger has been discontinues which is a massive bummer -.-

I'm now deciding between the Gaming 5, Sabertooth MK2, Asus Z97-A, and the Hero.
