Hello forumers, i need some help regarding this. its almost 2 weeks since i got this problem and yet to get fixed after hours of googling and troubleshooting.

Anyway, whenever i try to plug in headphone to PC, audio does not automatically swapped to headphone and i need to change it manually via "Playback Devices", and vise versa. Second problem is whenever i plug in or plug out the headphone jack from PC, game crashes everytime, so i got to decide if I want to use headphones or the monitor itself before playing a game (Kinda annoying if i need to chat with other teammates via teamspeak). Below are my current specs.

  • Windows 10 Home (x64)
  • AMD Athlon X4 740 Quad Core
  • Gigabyte motherboard
  • 2x4GB Corsair RAM
  • EVGA GeForce GTX 950
  • Realtek HD Audio Manager installed (6.0.1.7695)

Any help are appreciated.

Try this,

1. Select IDT High Definition Audio CODEC on Device Manager.

2. Select Driver tab.

3. Click Update Driver... button.

4. Select  -> Browse my computer for driver software.

5. Select -> Let me pickup a list of device drivers on my computer.

6. Select  High Definition Audio Device (Not  IDT High Def...  this is important.) and click Next.

Appears Warning message, but reply Yes.

7. ! Windows has successfully update your driver software.

Click on Nvidia High Def Audio, go to properties, driver, update driver, browse my computer, let me pick, and click High Def Audio, not IDT

I done as what you instructed but its still not automatically changed to headphone when plugged in. Still having same problem.
