Anyone no the difference between the i5 4690k and the i7 4790k

In terms of instructions per clock

AMD (and proud) r7 1700 4ghz- 

also (1600) 

asus rog crosshairs vi hero x370-

MSI 980ti G6 1506mhz slix2 -

h110 pull - acer xb270hu 1440p -

 corsair 750D - corsair 16gb 2933

There is none, the only difference is hyperthreading

Yes, there is basically no difference, stock clock speeds of 4790k are higher and it has hyperthreading

They are very similar chips other than the i7 having hyperthredding. IPC improvements are usually seen with newer architectures or different tiers, like when you compare haswell with skylake/ comparing a haswell Pentium with a haswell i7.

In terms of instructions per clock

For a given single threaded scenario, an i5-4690K and an i7-4790K at the same clock speed will perform within the margin of error. IPC is increased per generation, not within the same model lineup.

When you consider the difference in cache between them, it's not going to be a lot of difference.
