Random Power Loss

For the past two days my computer has been randomly turning off and turning on straight away (like it had suffered a power loss) I took out my 970 and it happened while my graphics card was next to me so it wasn't because of that. My computer was built in August 2014 and there's been no problems up until now.

 

I moved my computer to a different plug (with a different surge protector) a few hours ago and nothing has happened yet but I'm not hopeful.

A person at EVGA suggested I take a look at my voltage. I did and they are at

 

+3.3v = 3.344

 

+5V = 5.010

 

+12V = 11.880

I don't see a wattage issue, so keep us updated with moving the plug.

Make sure your case wires aren't messed up. Try just shorting the post to turn it on and see if it dies again.

If it happens again my last trick I can try is to change the actual wire with a different one I have, or to perhaps change the fuse in the plug.

It's done it again repeatedly.

 

For no reason it did it and then it did it again again and again.

 

3-4 times within 2-3 minutes.

 

Swapped out the power cable.

 

Only thing to do now is to buy a new PSU if it happens again

Made sure all PSU cables were plugged in, and they are.
