A bunch of people will try to suggest their own lists (which you should look at and take note of definitely!) but in regards to your list;

1, as stated, change the PSU, it's something you don't really want to cheap out on. Check out the list of PSU's here on the forums.

2. Get a different motherboard, look at z97. Something like the ASRock Z97M-ITX/AC

2. I suggest getting 2x4 sticks of RAM, especially if you go with a different motherboard that has 4 RAM slots. This way you can run it in dual channel mode.

Many of you suggested Skylake cpu's and ddr4 memory. Why so?

 

Faster CPU with the potential to overclock many years later.  That means you can get more out of the CPU over an extended period of time. 

 

There are other benefits to Skylake as well like improved peripheral response times in certain situations... it is just newer/better.  If you can squeeze it in your budget, you should.
