[Question] PC Cooling setup

Go to solution Solved by blueballs,

noctua is the brand to go if you want high quality/quiet fans

Hi guys, I'm currently in a bit of a drag since my GPU seems to heat up quite a bit when I'm playing games. I have a GTX 960 which goes to 80c if I play games and it's running at stock clocks. Also to add, I live in a tropical country which gets pretty darn hot during the day and we don't have AC here. I'm thinking that my fan set up might not be helping here.

I have an i3 running on a stock cooler, 4 fans, 2 intake in front (cooler master sickleflow x) and 2 exhaust (the ones that came with the case)

My case is actually an unknown case which I bet you probably never heard off but I'll post a picture for your reference.

is your psu fan facing down?

also if I were you, I'd put the top one in the front so you have 3 in the front and only the back as exhaust

Yeah my PSU is facing down, I don't like it interfering with the air flow in the case. I'm planning on buying additional fans though since I think the fans that came with the case are crap. Should I go for AF or SP?

Edit: And I'm wondering if upgrading my cpu heatsink would make any difference

AF would be good for the front intakes and no changing your cpu heatsink wont make any difference unless you get an aio and put it as an exhaust.

tbh, 80C for your gpu is just fine anyways.

By the way, I'm a bit confused in choosing fans, in my situation, what spec should I be looking at when I buy fans? Should I look for higher CFM or higher RPM fans? Do those even matter?
