Build Opinion?

This is for some 1080p gaming and MOSTLY content creation, I have the CPU, mobo, case and PSU, so I can't change those.

I'm thinking for the graphics card, either a 4GB GTX 960 such as this, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127894 or an r9 380 such as this, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127878%C2'> something else in the $200ish price range.

opinions on these parts and suggestions on a graphics card?

960 will be better for content creation since it has cuda.

Not to sound like every person on the the forum, but an AMD FX processor is really buying 3-4 year tech.

Here's just a little build thats about 100$ more, but with a i5 4460 platform which will give you a huge increase in both gaming and content creation.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($174.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: MSI H81M-P33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($45.98 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 380 4GB Double Dissipation Video Card  ($193.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($38.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $627.39
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

like I said, I already have the CPU, mobo, PSU and case. so I can't really change my base platform. Plus I bought the CPU on craigslist because it was new, and like half the price of off of newegg, so I can't even returen the CPU

oh sorry, my bad :P I do agree with the others that a 960 would be better for content creation because of the cuda, but in gaming it definitely lacks performance. Youll be getting less than 380 performance, but you should be able to play all modern/triple A games on med-high settings for the next 2-3 years

I think you should take some of his advice though, grab an SSD and instead of the 960, get an R9 380
