Asus x550la crashes when entering sleep mode

niccaa23

Hello, since I bought this laptop its given me nothing but headaches.

I've lost faith in Asus, when I purchased the laptop I noticed it did not ship with a recovery image.

It came pre-installed with windows 8 and everything seemed fine and dandy until I went ahead and updated to 8.1

Drivers started to fail left and right! Starting with the bluetooth > trackpad > display drivers. -managed to fix

Since I was not able to revert back to factory settings I jumped at the chance to upgrade when Windows 10 was available.

Things were looking good until over the summer I was no longer able to open the start menu or even open the settings. Heck even the "Action Center" didn't even respond.

TLDR;

I went ahead and performed a clean install, windows installed drivers correctly.

Now 80% of the time when the computer goes to sleep, it would just hang there and stay powered on.

Screen is blank and the power button is non-responsive until I hard reset.

All the lights are on except the hd light.

Edit;

when I hard-reset, all my programs/apps are opened up to where I left it
