i need help. my friend wanted linux mint 17.2 and windows 10 so i dual booted him and everything was good. now, 2 weeks later whenever he selects windows boot loader it just goes onto a flickering screen until he shuts the pc off. any way to fix this? he still has the cd key and windows installation usb. i don't know what happened. he actually paid for windows so unless the cd key is reusable for the same pc reinstalling os is not an option

What process did you use to dualboot Windows and Linux? As far as I know, Linus doesn't seem to detect Windows 10 as another operating system so there are specific steps to get it to work. I'm also currently figuring this out with Ubuntu 14.04 and Windows 10.
