Hi all, I'm looking to get my first mechanical keyboard for both typing and gaming. I have taken an interest to the Corsair K70 RGB and the Logitech G710+, leaning to the G710+ as I don't need the RBG of the K70 but can't stand the backlight of the standard K70. I live in Australia if you need to know. Thanks.

You know you can adjust the brightness level of the backlight and even turn it completely off, right?

I prefer the k70 due to its volume wheel placement. I tried the g710+ and my finger would get hit by the numpad keycap when I rub the wheel. On the flip side, if you need those dedicated macro keys you could also go with the g710+. LEDs should be the least of your concerns as you'll rarely see them anyway.

I own the g710+ and I wont upgrade to anything soon. The software might be heavy, but holy shit it's got everything. Auto Game detection is awesome.

I haven't seen a regular k70 though, so can't help with the comparison. Anyway you can't really go wrong with either
