Computer Booting Up Problem.

Go to solution Solved by PaincakesX,

try assembling out of case and running.

Ok, it works now. I had to pull out the battery, waited for about 2 minutes, then plugged it back in. I thought that pressing the clear CMOS button on the back of the mobo is the same thing. I guess it is not.

Just got my RMA motherboard from MSI today, it is the Z97 Gaming 7. Plugged everything back into place, and then I booted it up for about 10 seconds before it turned off then back on and off, etc. I do not know what the problem is. It really cannot be the mobo since I just got it, unless MSI quality control is garbage. Every component in my system is still the same even before I RMA my mobo. The only problem I can think of is a bad BIOS. However, I can't flash a new one if the board doesn't response to me pressing and holding the delete key. Also the post codes stops around 40 to 50ish, I could not really see since it was going by way to fast.

Please help, thank you.

Spec:

i7 4790k

MSI Z97 Gaming 7

EVGA SuperNOVA 750

Samsung EVO 840

Seagate 4TB

Did you try only one stick of RAM/no video card? Does it boot into the BIOS with no drives plugged in?

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

if you use retarded/autistic/etc to mean stupid please gtfo
