Battlefront performance querie

OK so I got battlefront the other day,

I'm running

4790k at stock

SLI titan X

32gb 2133 ram

Yet in battlefront front at 2k I get only 80ish FPS maximum at ultra with FXAA high and if I turn on TAA it drops and sits at 30fps constantly.

Is this normal or am I doing something wrong here as most benchmarks from the beta have the game running 120+ fps on the same settings in 2k with SLi titan x

FXAA>TAA = 50fps loss.....

Does it happen in single-GPU mode? Or just SLI?

Have you tried a different driver revision just in case of a random driver issue?

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

80 FPS max? SLI should definitely yield more than that at 1440p. Hell, my single Titan X exceeds 80 FPS at 1440p with ultra settings (TAA).

Your significant loss of framerate using an alternative form of AA is really peculiar to me also.

I had 359.06 drivers but after issues with them and battlefront rolled back to the 359.00 which seem to be considered the best.

I'll have to try disabled SLi later after work, the geforce experience optimised settings use TAA which is why this whole thing is confusing me.

Temps are fine 65-70 on cpu and 45-50 on GPU, usage looks OK to 80%+ Gpu1 50-60% gpu2 and 50-60% cpu

I've even reset everything all overclocks bios settings, nvidia settings ect

Atmo using bravia 32" 1080p TV waiting on the new 2k acer. Running at 150% scaling in game even tried putting that to 100% scaling and still floats around 80ish (nvidia experience sets optimal settings with 200% scaling atmo)

Titan X SLI at 1080p with 100% scaling is still native resolution. That is a recipe for a bottleneck at that resolution.

If you use 200% like Geforce Experience recommends then you will see higher GPU load.

Surely at 1080p 100% (native) I should see FPS increase tho over the 80(ish) fps I get at 150% or 200% scaling?

OK so I've disabled my SLi running 150% scaling (2k) in ultra and I have TAA enabled Frames per sec = 60-70fps

With FXAA high, frame rate is the same as with TAA on....

So is this a driver issue or is battlefronts SLi profile just bad?

60-70 FPS is still relatively low especially if you're not exceeding 70. Have you tested other games? Does your GPU load increase with 200% resolution scale?

Not necessarily. Two very powerful cards simply cannot perform their best at such a relatively low CPU dominant resolution.

Seems like it's an issue that only appears in SLi.

With a single card TAA works fine and only has 5-10 fps loss

In SLi with TAA on it Plumets down to 30 fps

I've not managed to find any info on if this is "normal" or not supported in SLi however so I'm just gna reserve myself to the fact it's not usable and just stay on FXAA high instead.

GPU usage was 99% GPU1 70%+ on GPU2

FXAA isn't my most favorite form of AA, but TAA applies blurring that I am not very keen of.

The latest Nvidia drivers broke the sli profile for battlefront, roll back your drivers and it'll run fine.

CPU: I7 3770k @4.8 ghz | GPU: GTX 1080 FE SLI | RAM: 16gb (2x8gb) gskill sniper 1866mhz | Mobo: Asus P8Z77-V LK | PSU: Rosewill Hive 1000W | Case: Corsair 750D | Cooler:Corsair H110| Boot: 2X Kingston v300 120GB RAID 0 | Storage: 1 WD 1tb green | 2 3TB seagate Barracuda|

I've already rolled back to 359.00 from 359.06 shall I roll back further than that?

I'm on 358.91 and the SLI profile is working on that update.
