Ram issue?

Go to solution Solved by W-L,

one last question, i want more ram, should i buy the kit for 2 4gbs? would that help?

If you wanted to say try a different kit with the one you have I guess you could but if you want a guarantee that it will work getting a kit of the amount you want in 2X *GB would be best.

fixxed it but a bit confused, so in order to have 3 sticks i had to lower it to 1600hz, 4 sticks 1300 hz, is it best just to keep 2 sticks at 2166 or 4 at 1300?

That's almost half the speed which will affect performance, it seems you have drawn the short stick this time, I would go with 2 sticks at it's rated speeds.

It's literally luck with having separate RAM kits sometimes they work without issue other times no matter what you do they just won't work. There isn't much else that can be done it seems.
