Dota 2 Tips?

Hey guys!!

I've been playing a lot of other games but now i decided to go back to dota 2. It's been a while since the last time i've played, so you can treat me as an average noob. I'm seeking some tips... my main concern is counter-picking (but i know there are sites to do it), but any tips are nice for a fellow mortal.

I sometimes keep one of these open on my second monitor during the draft. Dotabuff has individual player tracking too which give a LOT more insight into what's going on with your games.

This is pretty good to counter-pick. Though I wouldn't worry too much about that, unless it is one of those heroes that get out of hand. Like Phantom Lancer or Huskar. I'm not sure what else you wanted help with.

Jokes aside, watch purge video "wecome to dota, you suck) and don't disdain bot matches. They are good to improve last hit skills and to test builds out. Counterpicking is never easy because the same hero can have two completely different builds. Some websites might help though personaly, I think they spoil the fun.
