Hi everyone, I'm looking to go for a possible Skylake build for my new build. This is my current build here http://pcpartpicker.com/user/AzureKite/saved/4nhH99 I'll be using the HDD from it and selling the rest to a dude near me. (Any suggestions on what a good price would be to sell for? I'm unsure what's it worth it tbh) and this is the build I have the Skylake build http://pcpartpicker.com/user/AzureKite/saved/KXqFf7 I'm getting a nice discount thanks a current Newegg thing where I can get the CPU, motherboard, Ram, and SSD for $439.

Why? Change the CPU for an i5 4590K or i7 4790K. Change the power supply for an XFX, Seasonic or EVGA (GQ/GS/G2). And get another motherboard an Z97 one.

I want to get on the latest upgrade path and double my ram. The way I am going to have the cash for all of the new build is from selling the current build. I can have my current PC sold within a day or two. I plan on getting that case anyway as I'm also selling my one monitor/tv and would really like move my pc off the floor onto my desk but current tower is too large. Figured I would move up to the latest gen as well.

^ Totally agree, there is no need to jump ship just yet.

The xeon is not going to bottleneck anytime soon with threaded workload incoming.

The i5 4690K/i7 4790K are "future proof". The i7 4790K is as good as the newest i7 6700K and it's also a lot cheaper too. You can add another 8GB ram if you want to without upgrading your whole system. It will save you money and you can use the system for at least 4 years. I didn't say anything about the case only about your components. It's not worth upgrading the whole system.
