I been currently running into issues where I get sound distortion and stuttering on a semi new build. I did a few research on google and tried using DPC Latency Checker and LatencyMon and I've been seeing spikes on the latency. So far I've sorted the issue with my GPU. I don't get any spikes when the gpu is not installed or is disabled. I have everything updated from drivers to mobo and gpu bios and still no luck. I've also tried older drivers and even installing Windows 8.1.

System specs:

CPU - i5 6400

Motherboard - Gigabyte H170 Gaming 3

RAM - Gskill Ripjaws V 2x4Gig 2400Mhz

PSU - Corsair RM850

GPU - MSI GTX 970 Gaming Twin Frozr

OS - Windows 7 64bit Ultimate

I use to have an i5 4430, MSI H97 Gaming 3 and Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x4 Gig DDR3 and never run into this issue with the gpu.

Should I just RMA the GPU?

If you think these companies exist for any other reason you're gonna be disappointed my dear. CAVEAT EMPTOR"
