Hey guys I didn't know where this went so I am putting it here :P But anyway, I have DirecTV and Windstream (Coax via Satellite and DSL respectively) and want to add TWC (Time Warner Cable) to my house so I can use the DSL line for guests since it is 6/1 and my TWC line will be 50/5 but the question is, Since I don't use DirecTV in my room (Only in the living room and other rooms) can the TWC tech only hook up the coax in my room for the cable modem or does he have to re wire it? I don't want to get rid of DTV or DSL and only want to add the other internet line.. I read somewhere that you could but couldn't find it to refer back to.. Hopefully somebody can help me out with this..

If the line from wherever TWC enters your property to the room where you want the cable modem is completely isolated from any satellite TV signals, then you won't have any issues. That may be as simple as finding the splitter that feeds all the rooms and unhooking the line for that room. It may be harder if the wires are all in the wall and you don't know where the splitter is.

So I know where all the lines break off how would I find the one for my room?

if you can't trace it directly, just start unlinking cables one at a time and see which room loses service when disconnected.

Alright sounds good, and when the tech comes do I tell him to only hookup to that line?

Yes, just show him where on the outside of your house to connect to and where on the inside the wire ends where the modem will be installed (although he/she might not care about the inside of the house and just hook up the outside, and give you the modem and install instructions)
