Hi, I'm just getting into PC building, I haven't built my PC yet, I'm still waiting for parts, but can I please have some feedback on what I'm getting? This won't be used much for gaming, as I don't really game much at all.

CPU: AMD FX6300

CPU: Stock at first, but then the Cooler Master Seidon 120 V2

Motherboard: M5A97 R2.0

RAM: 8GB HyperX Fury

SSD: 120GB Samsung 850 EVO

Hard Drive: Not purchased yet, but will be a 1TB Western Digital Blue

PSU: Corsair CX500M

Graphics Card: Asus GeForce 210

(Running Windows 10)

I do plan on upgrading the GPU to either a 750Ti or a 740 SC, as I know the 210 is awful, but it's just temporary while I save up for GPU, CPU Cooler and Hard Drive.

Thanks for any feedback :)

Quite good- but maybe upgrade the graphic card. Nice to have an SSD though.

Uh, no...

That power supply has been known to catch fire.

That CPU has less power than what i left in the toilet this morning.

SSD is good, but not necessary, especially at this budget

Blindly jumping on the CX Hate train, want to show me a reputable source for them catching fire? I can easily make a AMD 970 Chipset Board catch fire.

Here's the thing:

Why take the chance?

A different PSU can easily fit into this budget, and even if there is no conclusive evidence for the CX hate, it has the reputation, and that is enough information for me.

I could quite easily start a rumour about EVGA Supernova G2 Series, having a problem with the cables pre installed, tell a few of the people  on here and IRL And it would spread like wildfire, I don't like the CX Series PSU's (I have one) But they are certainly more than capable of running a 6300 and a GT 210, Although there are better choices, such as EVGA's B Sereis, it will not kill your PC Instantly if you place it within a 100M Radius.

Right

but again, if he doesnt have the components already (wasnt quite clear) why take the risk?

also, If you read my entire post, I gave a recommended build with an I5 and a R9 380.
